FAQ

Answers to Questions asked most Frequently.
What are your teacher's qualifications?

Our teachers are certified by the state and meet or exceed all childcare requirements. We require criminal background checks through local, state, and/or federal agencies and verify educational credentials prior to employment. All teachers are trained in CPR and first aid, and complete training in early childhood health and safety. Teachers also complete annual professional development training to strengthen skills and keep apprised of the most recent research into early childhood education.

What Covid 19 health and safety standards are you practicing?

We take every precaution to ensure your child is safe and secure when they spend their day with us. Our health and safety practices are based on current guidelines and recommendations from the CDC, state and local officials, and departments of health to ensure we maintain a safe and healthy environment.  Any child showing signs or symptoms of illness will be sent home and required to stay at home until symptoms are no longer present and the child has been fever-free for 24 hours.

Is your building secure?

Yes, we are a secure facility. Our front door is secured with magnetic entry, so only authorized staff and families may enter. Families will be allowed access to the school during business hours. Visitors must sign in and provide a valid ID prior to entering our school.

Do I need to provide meals for my child?
Each day your child is served a healthy breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack. Meals are prepared on-site in our commercial kitchen and included in your tuition at no extra charge.
Your child’s weekly menu is posted in advance, so you always know what is being served.
  • We are a peanut-free facility.
  • We always provide a vegetarian option.
  • We adapt menus based on your child’s allergies and/or food sensitivities.
  • We provide a balance of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.
  • We limit foods high in sugar and/or fat.
Do you have a family referral program?

We do! We hope you have a fantastic experience at Reach for the Stars Academy and tell your friends and family. When you refer friends and family to us, you will receive 50% off of your weekly tuition for one week after the child referred has been enrolled for six months without break in enrollment.

When is tuition paid and how can I make a payment?

Tuition is due weekly, by the close of business on Tuesday, for the week of attendance. Parents wishing to pay bi-weekly or monthly must pay in advance. If payment is not made by the close of business on Tuesday, your child will not be able to attend on Wednesday of the week tuition is owed. Payment can be made through Procare, our online app.

Can I come in at anytime to visit my child?

Yes! We have an open-door policy and welcome you to drop by at anytime to visit your child.

Is there a certain time of day for drop-off or pick-up?

The school is open daily from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm and you can pick your child up at any time during the day. We would greatly appreciate it if you could drop your child off for care no later than 10:00 am in the morning. Our lessons begin promptly after breakfast and we do not want your child to miss anything! Also, rest time for all children is from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Please be mindful of dropping off or picking up your child during this time. It can be very disrupting to children who are resting.

Is there a fee if I'm running late to pick up my child?

There is a $1.00 per minute late fee after 6:00 p.m. for every minute you are late picking up your child. If you know that you will be late, please be courteous and call the center.
